The Customer Assistance Discount Program
Customer Assistance Discount Program is available throughout Travis County and the service area. It is Austin Energy’s most widely used assistance program. Families who are already receiving benefits from the state of Texas, the federal government, or another state assistance program are eligible for the service. Thousands of local families use it. Discounts are available on the following items:

- Electrification Customer Charge Waiver
- Get a discount on your total electrical usage
- Waiver of Water Tiered Fixed Charges
- Your community benefit charge will be discounted
- Waiver of the Transportation User Fee is available to City of Austin utility account holders who do not own or drive a vehicle, or who are at least 65 years old.

Financial Support Plus 1 Program
